I am so excited! My daughter quit school in like 11th grade. she is now 36. Tonight she walks to get her diploma! She went to adult education and got her GED and actually passed it on my birthday and tonight is graduation! I am so proud of her! You are never too old! woo hoo Sherri!!! you go honey! Mom loves you!

That is an awesome accomplishment for your daughter!! It really is never to late to continue on in one's education and I am proud of her for this. Give her a big congratulations and enjoy your moments with her!! Very well done!!!!

oh thanks everyone! I am really excited. I am getting ready to leave since it is about an hour or so away from me. I have my camera all ready to go! I will try to post some pics later on. woo hoo! yes I am very very proud of her!

gosh! it was great! I cried like a baby when they told them to move the tassels to the other side. Not sure why it got me then. I am so proud of her. oh I uploaded a couple of the pics

I am so proud of your daughter Bebop.....it is wonderful when a person who hasn't finished school goes back & understands the value of education & goes for it.
I was what they called a professional student.....but when the anxiety & depression hit.....couldn't focus on even 1st grade books. But since then, I have realized that we are never too old to learn anything.....glad your daughter realized that too.....what a wonderful accomplishment to go back & achieve.....the going back is the tough part......what a proud moment for her (& you).  ,Debbie

Awww, that's great! My brother dropped out Senior year after completely flunking high school anyways, but immediately got his GED. My friend also did the same thing as him, though she wasn't doing as badly as him at school which...really wasn't a hard thing to accomplish to be honest as my brother put literally no effort in school.
