 Yep it is going to open in 2012 an orbiting hotel is going to open, the price to stay 4.4 Million for 3 nights, that includes an 8 week training program on a tropical island People will get up there via Richard Bransen's Virgin Galactic venture, for 200 grand. Once there everyone who stays will be issued velcro suits for easy of use in the hotel. You will circle the earth once every 80 minutes and see the sun rise 15 times a day. If you are wondering 43 people have already placed large deposits to be the first to stay, I am sure some Rap dude will brag about this one in one of his songs |

I wonder if they need to hire a Registered Nurse for their Hotel? I wonder what kind of benefits that this position would come with....and how/where would you go to the Doctors?
Maybe they should open a minny hospital/ER/ICU? They would almost have too....

I just saw this post after seeing a preview for the movie '2012'. It makes me wonder why they are opening up this hotel in that year... although i'm sure it has nothing to do with the fears of the mayan prophesies.. just thought it was interesting that it's opening that year!

No thanks, the only thing I can think about was if my pod somehow got detached I'd be drifting away in the cold darkness of space forever... or well... until I die at least

I think it would be a great place to vacation, unfortunately I don't have that kind of money plus I would want to wait until it was in operation for a while to make sure it was safe.
