I'm from South Africa and we don't use the word 'Avatar' over here. Is it the same as symbol or what? Also always wanted to know what LOL stands for?

Hi Eljay,

Avatar means a visual representation of you in cyber space. In the case of PC it's the picture under your name.

And LOL stands for Laughing Out Loud.
