Ever wonder just how many people read all the stuff we write on here...not just the posters and mods, but the lurkers too?

I am a lurker. I have trouble posting things because as soon as I type it all out, I think it looks stupid. I have to force myself to post things and then never look at them again.

I wonder about it--there seems to be a core of people who post...but when you look at the stats, there has to be more more reading posts..lurkers.
It would be nice if they would come on in and join in.

It took me nearly 2 whole years to get the courage to really jump into the community here. I checked the site constantly during those two years, and read so many things that, if nothing else, made me feel less weird and less alone. Its only been the last month or so that I finally got the nerve to try to communicate with others. I bet a lot of the people who lurk are just nervous about typing things out. Or they are having a blast reading about our "issues:"...

Well, to an outsider all the things we say must have some entertainment value...Plus your name alone is pretty entertaining.

I love your name, too.
Every time I look at it, it reminds me of something my mom used to say throughout our youth, "When fit hits the shan".....lmao.

I think a lot of people who lurk have timidity about posting, as I do myself at times, but I don't think most lurkers are trying to entertain themselves as much as they are looking for answers. Sometimes I don't post, because on those days, I feel like I don't know what I am talking about.

Other days, I post away, not caring if I know what I am talking about. When I lurk, I am looking for answers or for acknowledgement that others might share some of my dysfunctions. billieJames

kallinite,
hi
we all do that--type something then think it sounds stupid or silly so we don't post it...or we post it then want to take it back
it's a normal thing to feel in an online community.

trust yourself
share
it would be nice to get to know you

In Peace
