I'm happy and relieved. I got my official inviatation to come for Christmas day from my friends AL and Ellen. They're my best friends. I've spent the past 2 Christmasses with them, but I'm always afraid they won't invite me. I don't have any family in the city and I can't take time off to go anywhere around Christmas due to it being year end, and besides going out to my brother's in Calgary would be bad for my sobriety.
I'm just so relieved that I won't have to spend the day alone. --splitimage |

Some of the most wonderful holidays I had were with my AA friends because we all had family who drank. It was not "safe" for us anywhere else. And, of course, part of the program is to do for others. Makes for a good combination, eh? Have a blessed holiday season.
