ATT is installing some new service in this area and have managed to disconnect my phone each day the last 5 days. I just tried to call my mother and the line is dead again. This time my DSL is working at least.
Why can't they leave it alone? I am not a happy camper today.

Yes. Bebop's right.
Anytime your service is interrupted due to area maintenance AND you notify them, they will credit you for the time service is disconnected.
ATT is usually pretty cooperative that way.

Yes! Do call them!! Just like when you call them to tell them the DSL is down they tell you that you can report most problems online at ATT.com!

They told me to call them from the line that I am having trouble with. The only way to call is with my cell but they insisted I call from my dead phone. I think they finally got it fixed last night. Worked fine all day today.

And they shut my line off again today! At 9:30 this morning everything went dead. I was sending out my monthly column to my editor and the screen froze. The modem is all red lights.
