It's 14F here & a dusting of snow again. Not sure how it snows at such cold temps, but there is about 1/4 inch of snow over everything.

The temps have been so cold & my heat pump is still not working right. When it gets this cold (below 20), it isn't switching.....so it was trying to Air Condition my house along with heat.....so I couldn't get the house over 54F. I have been sitting upstairs with my room heaters trying to stay warm. I don't even feel like cooking in my kitchen with it so cold. I make food & it's cold before I can eat it. Grrrrr.

belive it or not we had more snow two days in a row what a joy for the kids who only went to school on monday after christmas holidays, they get another snow day

well hopefully they get to go again tomorrow, daughter was outside today at 9am making a snowman, she could of walked to school but a lot of teachers live to far to risk driving in, we popped up to a friends last eve for an hour just to get out and car was starting to refreeze in that hour

so most probs around here is yesterdays snow/slush frooze and new snow settled on top so you dont know were the icey stuff is

luckily i dont think there has been many accidents on the roads

We have blizzards up here in the north of Scotland, to the point where my eldest son was booked on a flight today to fly to Gatwick London, he left here at 6.45 am train to Inverness with no phone, while he was on the train I heard the flight had been cancelled.

I am still waiting for him to ring me from Inverness to tell him he has to make the long journey back to me or stay in Inverness at a bed and breakfast ! I rebooked him on a flight but couldn't get one till day after tomorrow (Friday).....

There is snow everywhere !

I am worried about him as its been 5 and a half hours since I have heard from him and as far as he is aware his flight is still going ahead.
Thanks for this!

In all that snow????? Wonder if that miracle is possible...lol.

That's a lot of snow, but they don't fly or take off is specific weather because of the ice buildup on the wings of the planes & even with de-icing it doesn't help under certain temps. Would hate for him to get stuck in the airport.

We had just a dusting of snow yesterday. I drove to the neighboring town last night & there was snow all over the place & there was even more snow in the bit city.

I have the weather channel on my computer & it kept doing that thunder thing for the weather alert. We are supposed to have snow later today & all day tomorrow (wow, a whole 5 inches). Doubt if it really ends up being that much. Iit never ends up what they say when they alert about it, only when there isn't an alert....lol.

It started snowing here Christmas eve through Christmas day, gave us about 6inches. Snowed again Jan 2, add another 3 inches. Snowing again today, add another 2-5 inches. My daughter has been out of school since Dec 18 and not because of the snow. It has been so cold that they are afraid the kids would be frozen by the time they made it to school. Today is the warmest day we have had since before Christmas, it is only about 20 F out. Tomorrow's high is supposed to be 6 and Friday 1. This is just insane! My cabin fever is getting worse as the days go on. I have been a prisoner of my house since Halloween, the only time I go out is for dr and PT appts. I do the few errands on those days too. Having a broken foot SUCKS!!!

-22 somewhere in Scotland! The roads are like ice skating rinks here, no salt or grit where I live so I'm stuck in my house with several jumpers on!

Hope you are keeping warm.

Oh no, broken bones are not fun. I hope she heals quickly! I'm surprised the weren't busy with lots of bum legs! I liked your pics, espcially the ones where you can see the grass.

We ended up with about 13 inches of snow! School is supposed to start Monday, and the kids get to wear casual clothes. The girls really like this since they have to wear jumpers and skirts. They don't even have to wear uniform shirts. As long as they clothes are respectable, no holes, no obscene graphics they can wear them.

Hubby has rolled the car on slush, it went down a 12 foot dike and landed on the roof ....

It was only the fact that it was Land Rover that he is still alive I am so so thankfull.

He walked away with cuts to his arm sore body and head ache (he head butted the roof when taking off his seat belt).
