I got the phonecall from Little Rock yesterday asking I could have surgery on Monday. I have been approved!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I go for the consult tomorrow and then will be in Little Rock Monday morning at the hospital at 9:30 for surgery. I will have my hernia repaired and tummy tuck. I have waited sooooooooooooo long for this I am excited.

No if I can just kill the smoking habit everything will be good. I know that is one of his requirements for surgery is to be smoke free so I am trying but it is so hard and I relapsed today and evertime I smoke I beat myself up for it. I know I should just throw them away into the dumpster. But I can't bring myself to do that.

So please pray for my surgery that all goes well and that I can finally quit the smoking demon.

good luck! if your dr requires no smoking you have to be smoke free for 3 days! they will do a test for it too. you can do this Jan!

You are in my thoughts, Jan. It helped me to quit by telling myself I could stop for another minute or hour. Then I worked hard to get my mind to focus on something else.

Quitting is not easy but you can do it. I quit Jan 7, 2003. I am to the point that the smell of them makes me sick. I can't walk thru mother's garage from the smell of my brothers cigs.. You can do it Jan!
