My 18 year old TV decided to die on me on Fri. night. I don't watch a lot of TV - like maybe 2-4 hours a week, but I do watch a lot of DVD's so I need to replace it. But I'm a bit overwhelmed by technology.

Since I don't watch a lot of TV i don't need anything super fancy, so I definitely don't need HD.

But I'm wondering if anyone knows what the difference is between LED and LCD and if one has any advantage over the other?

What else should I look for?

Thanks.
