I made it through to the other side...

I am doing well after surgery. Hardly any pain anymore. I have been up for several hours now and haven't taken a pain pill yet. I am getting ready to go with my mom this afternoon and continue to disinfect my apartment so I'm sure the no painkiller thing will change.

I have a big upside down t on my belly where they did the tummy tuck and hernia repair. They found another hernia in my belly button so they couldn't salvage my belly button so I'm neither an innie or an outie LOL. I have 2 JP Drains in when they don't produce more than a certain amount then I can have them removed.

So far the no smoking thing is going good but that is because the temptation level is relatively low out here. I can't drive to get any and my parents don't smoke (or at least don't admit to it LOL) so I don't have access to any. I am going home tonight though and my neighbor down the way is more than willing to let me bum some off of him and that is hard to avoid when the cravings get really bad. So I am going to get mom to go to Walmart with me and pick me up some mints and some vitamin C and zinc suckers because those seem to help them most with cravings.

So just wanted you to know that I came out ok.

Jan

Way to go. Glad the surgery went well and you're feeling ok. Stay strong on the no smoking front. I know you can do it.

I have about 40lbs more to lose. At least that is what I think...I haven't been on a scale since the Thursday before my surgery.

I am pretty tired today but I think I overdid it yesterday. Mom and I are disinfecting my apartment. Or at least it is me sitting on a chair watching her. She doesn't me want to clean the nasty things because if a bad germ got somewhere is should that would be bad news. I am very lucky to have a mom that will do this for me. She told me once that she would never do it again but then this happened and it needed to be deepcleaned and sanizitized. When I clean I straighten up things, dust, wash the dishes, do the laundry and sometimes remember to hang it up LOL

I will find my official number of pounds I have to lose and then talk about it on my blog.

Jan

Yes, take it easy for a while.
I'm glad your mom is helping It is very nice of her.
Keep us posted on how you are doing! I was going to ask if you knew how much weight they removed. Let us know the good news.
Try blow pops when you get the urge to smoke! They keep you busy and they're fun!!
Thanks for this!

The blowpops idea is a great idea. The guy that I bum them off of knows I am home now and came down to ask me to drive him to the line this week but I told him that I wasn't allowed to drive until the drains and stitches came out. He then said well I can drive and you can ride. I told him I'm sorry but I'm not allowed to let anyone drive my car but me or my dad. So so far so good. I am going to go to the store today and get me a big bag of blowpops though just in case.
