disclaimer - I'm a feminist - but I'm also ready to acknowledge that as a generalization men have more upper body strength than the average woman.
tonight my friend D came over to help me carry my big old huge tube tv down three flights of stairs, and out to the curb for garbage pick up tomorrow. I figured we could each carry one side - nope he took one look at it. Picked it up and carried it all the way to the curb with my only assistance bring holding the door open. That's my kind of moving. I barely managed to carry it 3 feet to get it off of the tv stand and out of the way when it died, there's no way I could have managed to carry it on my own. So thank heaven's for big strong men who are willing to come help move old Tv's. --splitimage |

I totally agree. I'm a bit on the short side, so having someone around every now and then to reach things that managed to get put on the top shelf is pretty nice, along with the lifting heavy stuff like you mentioned

While I have to swallow my pride and get over the fact that someone is helping me, big strong guys melt my heart... what can I say? I'm a sucker.
