I was feeling really depressed one day and decided to get some information on depression . PC was one of the first sites to come up when I googled depression. I am so glad that I did , it is such an awesome place with so many wonderful people.

PC information came to me from a sister or affiliate forum. I don't recall if it was a link in someone's thread or on the forum jump. But I am grateful, as PC meets my needs better than any other forum.

I was on another support site, and one of the members there actually referred me to here. LOL!!

They actually said this was a much better site...and they were right...it is.

I heard about it from a couple of members on another site & decided to check it out. I stuck around because it had an addictions forum.

I had just started therapy and became obsessed with trying to find out just what I had gotten myself into. I needed to know everything I could find out about therapy and my related issues. I googled and I chose this site because it is the most informative and supportive by far.
Thanks for this!

Henry Hudson and the crew of the Half Moon were looking for a Northwest passage. I took the Full Moon in a different direction and ran right into PC.

I was/am going through integration and getting used to functioning as one whole person. the support group I was in I was the only one dealing with post integration so my therapist suggested my googling DID and Integration. this website was among the top of the list so I came here hoping there were others here like me dealing with post integration.

I may not have found what I was looking for when I googled and happened onto this site but Im glad to be here where I can help others. In the mean time my therapist has started a group for DID's interested or going through integration so all is good.

I was on another support site specifically for OCD, and it was under-going construction for about a week. I signed up here because I needed support during that time, and fully intended on going back to the OCD forum...but PC is so much better! I will check back with that old OCD forum once in a while, but there is so much more support here.
Thanks for this!

I used to belong to another forum who mentioned this one. I have long since stopped using the other forum.

I was told I had Bipolar (wrongly) and was at a site for that for about a year, however I never felt 'right' there and some of the members came to this site as well, so I decided to follow and felt right at home from the first.

I got an email recently about the DSM being revised and it linked to PC.
BUT....Before PC there was mentalhealth net, also with DocJohn. I was on there for several years. I just took a 10 year sabatical.

My therapist suggested it and she was right. I feel comfortable here. The people are warm, funny, helpful and non-judgemental. Have huge trust issues but feel fine here.

I was talking to my T about that fact that I didn't have anyone I could talk to other than her about my depression. She was the only one I could turn to for when I was really upset. I didn't really know anyone else that was going through the same thing as me...and she told me about PC. She told me that I would be able to talk with people who feel the same way as I do. It has helped a lot. Sometimes it's hard for me to post, or even talk about how I feel but just reading other people's posts and knowing that I'm not alone has helped me a lot.

I was Googling depression and found a bunch of forums, all of them closed, or declining or asking for info I thought they just didn't need...and then I found PC. It was like a breath of fresh air, people who thought, felt and even hurt like me.
I love it and I am so very glad be a part of it!
Thanks for this!
