My boss let me leave early because of the snow. When I finally got home....I couldn't figure out why it was so cold in the house. Shut the blinds, put a towel under the front door. When I went to the back of the house to feed my dog (who has been on the back porch and in the house since the weather has been so bad) I felt a huge draft. Walked out to the rec room and found the door wide open!! Snow was blowing on the carpet!

My husband is gone tonight so I called him on his cell. He told me to get our gun (which I am terrified of) and search the house....Well nothing is missing and there is no one here but me. There are foot prints in the snow that look to be not recent.

I found out today that a felony rapist (raped a grown woman) just moved in a few blocks away so I am feeling a little scared tonight.

I really think that either my daughter or my grandson left that door unlocked and maybe not closed all the way...Nothing is missing from the house. Still...it is a creepy feeling..

Susan did you call the police?? At least it would be on record and they should patrol you street more the next few days.. Anyhow I would keep the gun handy..But you need to think safety and keep it out of reach of your grandchild..
Thanks for this!

Thanks everyone! It was very creepy! No further incidents so I really think my grandson must have unlocked it and cracked it open a bit and the wind blew it open while I was at work.

My husband was a little irritated with me because I would not load the gun! LOL! I hate that thing! Probably wind up shooting myself in the foot!
