TOO early!

(Spring ahead, fall back.)

Oh, well this is better than I thought. For some reason I thought it was tomorrow night (Monday morning), and that I might miss class for lack of awareness due to lack of that precious 1 hr of sleep!

I never go to sleep anymore before 6am if even then.....more like whenever I am finally tired enough to fall asleep.

Not exactly sure how daylight savings change is going to effect me while struggling to try & get a more normal schedule.

Oh yes NF, I was on seroquel for a couple of years after going through a trauma when I couldn't sleep at all for the nightmares.....loved it as it would just knock me out no matter what & all I could do was sleep without any dreams. Only problem...I would stay knocked out & non-functional on it which was fine for then. Unfortunately, now even with a low dose, I end up completely non-functional & just sleeping for days.....which means nothing gets done. Can't afford to feel that way with 6 medium sized white doggies needing my attention.

I always hated the spring change in time but loved the fall when I would get an extra hour but daylight savings change used to take place much later in spring & must later in fall than what they have now changed it to. Whose bright idea was it anyway.......wish they would just let nature take care of itself rather than trying to control everything including the dang clocks.......grrrrrrr

Curse you daylight savings time!
NF & eskielover - I was on seroquel a while ago too...definitely worked at putting me to sleep easily. Only issues were that I'd have WAY too many vivid dreams/nightmares, and I'd feel like a zombie while I was awake. Definitely not the med for me. :P

My daughter gave me a new "smart" alarm clock. I have no idea how it "knows" the date, but it somehow set itself to daylight savings time last week. I had the freak out last Sunday thinking I was an hour late! Now at least the stupid thing is the right time.

This is my least favorite day of the year, I HATE losing this hour!

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEVVVVVVVVVIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIILLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!

I HATE time change D: why can't we be like Arizona and just leave it be???? grumblgrumble. I never get enough sleep as it is on Sunday with morning service and all let alone my first morning of losing an hour being on a dreaded sunday ugh.

Time change should happen on my day off when I can sleep through it without worrying about adjusting. Then when I have to get up early I won't notice that I lost more than the time of having to get up early.

How's that for logic Mister Time?? Too bad I'm not the Mad Hatter or March Hare or Door Mouse. It'd be awesome for it to always be tea time

Its too late for this now, but maybe if you changed your clocks on Friday night Fox, you could use Saturday to get used to the change?

ooh I should try that next year. This time that wouldn't have worked though since I had to work Saturday but that's a spiffy idea for sure!

Just who's crazy idea was it to change the time twice a year? Every year I go around saying, 'stupid, stupid, stupid' as I change every dang clock in the house.

I hate changing time twice a year. Why can't we just agree with one time and stay on it all year? At least I am not my neighbor who has to acclimate the cows to a different milking time twice a year.

I do like perpetuallysad's idea for getting used to the time beforehand, but why can't we just stay in one place? Wouldn't that solve a few problems?
Thanks for this!

Why daylight savings time? I find it a big pain to go through 2x a year. Oh well, I just grin and bear it.

LOL!
I had no idea the time had changed until an online friend told me...
and then I looked at my computer clock and it said one time and then
looked at the clock on my wall and it said a different time!

hee hee maybe that's why they do the time change on weekends. Most people don't have appointments to be late for on Sundays xD
