Phew!!! Glad that's over!!

I got all moved in yesterday to my new apt. I really like it here. There's a bit more road noise because my apts on the side closest to the main road, but I chose the bedroom on the back of the apt for my room so I wouldn't be bothered by traffic so it's all good.

I feel so weird. Anyone who has ever experienced derealization, where the things around you feel surreal/unreal may understand. Since this is a brand new community to me, it doesn't feel sunk in yet, and nothing looks familiar or feels like home. It does feel very unreal...and it really kicks up the derealization/depersonalization symptoms.

LOL!! At any rate...it's good to know that this move is behind me and I am not planning on moving again for a long time!! I haven't gotten completely unpacked yet, but I decided that since I'm not going anywhere that I am going to do a little each night and take it as slow as I want.

So, I just wanted to let you all know I'm in.

Congratulations on being in your new place. I hear you about it not feeling quite real yet, but I'm sure you'll get settled in quite quickly. And if memory serves, from one of your other posts, this place is much closer to your job, which will be good.

Have fun unpacking and setting up your new place.

Sounds great. Enjoy your new apartment and remember to take time to be kind and gentle with yourself.
