My brother and his wife delivered little Ayla today, Ayla, as my sister in law is Turkish...

I not only LOVE kiddies- I have devoted my life to them So to finally become an auntie is truly beautiful!

My mother wants me to spend a lot of time out in the mountains where she, my brother's family, and my uncle live, and I said yes! I have hated how she financially and verbally abused me, yet I feel the baby drawing us closer already, perhaps I can find it in my heart to forgive..

Looks like I will be unemployed this summer, which could be scary....but I am pretty sure my Dad will let me borrow $$$ what a relief!!!! Good ole dad!

But I will have the time to go out there...and my boyfriend being out of work due to a broken rib, he will be able to join me in the beautiful mountains..

I can just see me joking around with Ayla as her personality starts to develop, playing games, jokes, and stories like I do at my job with kids!!!

There is nothing like being an aunt. I love my nieces and nephews. The time I spend with them nothing else matters but them. They do help heal family situations.

Contragulations on your new niece!!!

Congrats Junerain! It must feel amazing to finally be an aunt!

Forgiveness will come in time and perhaps this will aid you in becoming closer to your mother as well as the rest of your family. It sounds like a wonderful summer arrangement. Have fun!

Loads of hugs and warm thoughts to you and your family. Cherish these moments!
Thanks for this!

Wow, I am so excited for you.....being an aunt is a wonderful thing. Advantages......you can enjoy the baby without all the responsibilities that come with being the parents.

What a beautiful name......Ayla.......I love the names that parents come up with these days.....so much better than in the 1950's when everyone named their girls Debbie (ugh). I always managed to be one of 5 in school classes as I grew up. Swore I would never name my daughter a common name, so I named her Chandra......she hated it to start with, now she loves being unique.

You know, maybe not having a job this summer is part of God's plans to allow you to spend the time with your new niece & maybe mend some family problems....you know that God always makes good things come from the not so good situations we find ourselves in. Glad your Boyfriend can spend some time in the mountains with you also....really sounds like the summer will turn out even better than if you did have a job that you had to work at.

I am so excited to hear so many good things happening in your life.....it makes my heart feel so happy for you.

Congratulations! Babies are great! I also just became an aunt for the 1st time last month. My brother and his wife just had twins! A boy and a girl and they are adorable. I am halfway across the country from them but hoping to move home and see them and hold them in person very soon. They were also 5 pounds each.

Have fun with your new niece!

That is great Junerain.
It must be nice to have a family embrace a new little one with such attention and love.

I hope her arrival will bring you and your family to healing places.

I don't know what it's like to NOT be an aunt....
I've been one since before I was born(Some of my siblings were adults by the time I came along....grew up with some of my nieces and nephews)
I am an aunt 20 times.... a great aunt 16 times......and a great great aunt 2 times(No, I'm not 100 years old! I'm in my forties!)

ha! no wonder i feel lost in the crowd.
