Hi there!
Im not sure if this is the correct venue for this question, however, here goes. How does your brain work for you in this regard? When you have a conversation, how does the words come to you that youre saying? i.e. ad libbing, do you see the words on a screen in your minds eye and read from that? Or do the thoughts and words just start flowing from your mouth? I would like your answer to this please.

Im not sure, I kind of "hear" them in my head first but sometimes they come out of my mouth before I ever even realized they were there in the first place...

When I speak extemporaneously about something I have on other occasions thought about, I try to give a precise summary of my views. I see no words. My brain conjures the gist of the concept as I have formulated it.

When I have not thought of the topic of discussion, my answer is formed by talking it through, or simply saying I do not know.

My words basically just flow out of my mouth. No thought process with me! However, when I'm just thinking, sometimes the words I'm thinking of will show up as images in my mind, and I can almost see them.

Very passive, emotional feelings and thoughts come to surface for me.....I have to push to make them more assertive, to get a word in edgewise instead of always asking about the other person..Im too nice Im afraid..

Interesting question....I'm curious as to why you ask it Bobster999?

My answer is - My brain works just fine...I'm still living, surviving, flourishing etc etc.

Sabby, thats a fair enough question. I have been doing a lot of self study lately trying to improve and understand myself and others. I have pondered this question for quite some time. I became very interested in how people think and respond, and or respond and think in their daily interactions. I particularly am in envy when i see and hear some people that can respond fluidly, clearly, accurately and intelligently to most situations. They did not rehearse anything. Yet are able to spit out word after word so effortlessly and intelligently that it would appear they were reading a well rehearsed script. I would give anything to have this skill, ability, gift or whatever you would call it. Thank you, may i have another?

Hmm my thoughts seldom come out in order or in ways others can understand because I am just so quick to express myself I just vomit out my thoughts and everyone gets lost lol. I am a super thinker but bad at sharing my feelings and views unless in writing or other forms of self expression ;o

I think curiosity is a key, Bobster999. Those who may speak about many things are not satisfied with only a question, there must be an answer too.

This is a tough question. I have a hard time putting it into words. I think my words just fall out of my mouth. Sometimes I get frustrated bc I can't think of the word I want to say. When I finally think of it, I do see the word in my mind. But I don't see words unless I am really thinking hard about what I want to say. Then I see the words.

I guess that someone that fits this description would be considered to have a more intelligent functioning brain. I dont know of any way to improve my own brain to function in this manner.

Make learning a lifelong process. Be curious. If you have a question, find the answer. Speak. You will not become a better conversationalist by watching. Of course, listening well is a valuable learning tool also.

Use your brain. That is why you have one.
