Alrighty you all know that I am conservative...but this isn't political so I gotcha!!

I just wanted to rant for a second. I want a vaction but it would have to go on my credit card. I look at my neighbors and their mom and dad go rent a log cabin out for them if they want a vacation.

They get to go on vacations all the time and their income is allegedly lower than mine.

Something goes wrong in their lives and mommy and daddy fix it. As for me, my mommy and daddy don't want to even hear me complain about it.

Well I am 35 now, I shouldn't be complaining. Oh well I just needed to let this out. This has been going on since I started working at 14, I just now realized it.

Sorry for the jabber jaws!

Lol

If you've been working since age 14 and you would have to charge the vacation, I'd say you might consider investing in a financial planning course at a local tech college or something. You should have money, even if you only put $1 a week away, to go on a vacation by now.

I found that one of the best ways to feel bad is to compare myself to someone else.

Chin up.

Oh I have had my share of vacations. I am just ticked off that I have not been able to have them recently! Can't draw blood from a rock! I am going to compare myself to someone else.

Thanks for the uppercut to my chin I needed it!

blkhr,

Stop whinin! only joking... whos income is lower than yours? the kids or the parents? Its's just possible that they handle their money better or if the kids pay board it allows the parents to save that money for a vacation time...pay yourself $50 a week and put it in a vacation fund account...JD's suggestion isn't a bad one...

Growing up a police officer's daughter, I've come to respect my parent's opinions on the unfairness that a third of my dad's paycheck goes to the "entitlement crowd". I know some people cannot work. I don't have a problem with that. Society has to take care of those who cannot take care of themselves. It's the people who are able to work, but choose not to. I know this is political and will probably be removed, but does anyone agree?

Ok! Yeah, time for a staycation again. I haven't had a vacation since my disabling injury in 1986 ... yes, I've been to Disney etc ... but I'm still me and "there" no vacation from my issues in life (which vacations are supposed to allow you to escape, right?) So compare yourself to me ... maybe you'll feel a tad better?

Good wishes on finding a relief.
