We're expecting a heat index of 111 today; my husband's flying to Las Vegas and our temp here in Maryland is going to be the same as there! I'm quite sure my AC system and everything else mechanical will blow up within an hour of his being gone

Well I think you are being greedy, could you pass some of that to the UK please?

I'm sat in my back garden(in north west of England) watching the grey clouds and wondering how much longer my washing will last outside before it pelts down...we did get some sun a few weeks ago but it's always short lived..I'm enjoying the bracing wind as I speak..lol..send us some rays please .

It's something like 38 C here today with the humidex making it feel like 43 C - sorry I never learned Farenheit. I'll happily swap with the UK for a few days. It's so damp with the humidity that even the sheets on my bed feel damp.

I've taken to carrying a fan with me whereever I go.

I am saving money and time by drying my clothes outside. 15 minutes in the sun and they are dry and the bed bugs are toast. Wish I was in the UK to tell everyone there is a sun!

Yes I'm with Splitimage since we both live in Ontario. It's extremely hot here...even when it was storming yesterday, that didn't help at all. Today I had to vacuum our pool and I was dripping sweat and it made me feel sick(headache) ever since. When I was a kid I could tolerate the heat much better.

It's been very hot here in South-Central Pennsylvania the past two days. The temperature's topped 100 degrees Farenheit, and I hate summer to begin with, I'll be glad when Fall rolls around!!
