I was on Facebook and I saw a [ I LIKE ] page with 153,000 people who like it.
It was called " I hope you know I really don't give a F. "
I just don't know

In a world with billions of people, 153k isn't a lot of people. There are more who care than do not care...and you are a carer...so don't worry about that page...

there are much worse groups... this is just pointless...

as for caring... there are various degrees of care. My friends and family? I care. Problems in war torn countries? I care.

But there are things I don't care about. "what would people say?" I don't care for the town's mean gossips. "You should cut your hair/wear less make up/eat less carbs/go study law school..." coming from people whom I did not ask for advice? I don't give a f, trully.
Does that make me uncaring witch? I don't think so.

Well, for me, I wouldn't give a hoot about that statement. So I guess that means that I don't care eh?

I suppose, anyone who was in a rough mood at the time, or maybe really doesn't give a hoot about anyone but themselves (if that even) wouldn't care and could relate to that statement. Ever been there before yourself? I know I have, and I don't like when I feel that way. Luckily it's for a short time and I get over it

It's ok - that's what facebook is like - like the biggest clique there ever was. The only reason I don't want to leave is because I have family and a few good friends on there who post photos, etc.

Furthermore, I publically posted a load of cryptical or crazy stuff when I was in hospital with a "i just don't give a F...what they think attitude". Those that know and care about me, just try and be supportive and I've told them I'm ok really when I post what I post - it was just something for me to focus on whilst incarcerated in hospital.

It's much safer here I think - everyone here is sensitive it feels like to me and that is a good thing - don't let anyone else tell you otherwise!

Caring takes effort. I have days I am neither for nor against apathy.

I have to agree with you. There are tons of things in life that people think we should care about when these things aren't really worth it for us to care about them. Good examples have been given.

Additionally, caring is not a blanket all or none concept.

FB is huge, huge, huge and a lot of what goes on there is meant to be taken lightly and not very seriously.

There is definitely a reason for the nicknames "hellbook" "hatebook" "f-wordbook" "facecrack" and "cliquebook".

And yes, most of it is supposed to be funny. Mostly to the young teen-currently in my apathetic and melancholy phase group. lol

Though, yes, there ARE things I do not give a hoot about. Im going to go look at my newsfeed and will bet twenty bucks I find five things I just do not care about...

I pretty much let it be known a while back that I do not participate in those type of pass time games. Recently got one from a dear friend for some nice new(?) game with a request for me to send her something back. I had to reply politely that I don't participate in such. I hated that I had to do that, but gotta let 'em know.
