Hi,
I went on Facebook today and saw that the Weather Channel had posted something about the Aurora Borealis (sp?) being visible late tonight in parts of the northern states, including Michigan ![]() ![]() __________________ Only you can prevent neurotypical jerkiness!

Oh yes! on Sunday, August 1 on the Earth-facing side of the sun, there was a coronal mass ejection, a solar flare, solar tsunami, many filaments, and much more solar activity. the coronal mass ejection reached Earth yesterday; that's what's causing the aurora to appear so far south. it's so exciting! there's more information about it here: http://spaceweather.com/archive.php?...2010&view=view

Yeah I saw that picture on Twitpic. Wouldn't that be amazing to see in your own backyard?

memories...I recall seeing them from my backyard ~7 yrs ago. I could never photo them, but i seen it with my own eyes. There is something magical about seeing them blowing through the sky. It looked like a flapping light/dark pink curtain. I got it written down in my personal journal.
