hey everyone,

I finally got the acceptance letter to low-income housing for the disabled and senior housing. I sign the papers today at noon... I am going to start moving in slowly the weekend and through the week, just the small stuff that I can carry and lift on my own. Then I believe next Friday the rest will get moved with the help of my mom and step-dad. I have to try and find somemore help cause my step-dad has spinal stenosis and my mom had a knee replacement about 9 months ago.

I haven't lived on my own since May of 2008. I am a bit nervous cause I haven't had a real successful time living on my own in the past, something has always happened, usually me getting sick and ending up in the psych ward is what happens and then have to move. I have moved probably over 20 times due to that and I want to be able to be comfortable in my new place. I want to feel safe by myself. This building is security locked so that makes me feel very comfortable and people just can't come in without you knowing.

I have also been invited camping with my sister and her family along with my brother and his family up north. I have a lot of rearranging of appts. but I want to go so bad. I have to get some relaxing time in or am going to burst. The stress of the move and with other mental things has caused sleepless nights again, and severe migrains and have been in the ER 2x in 3 weeks. Plus I have never done anything with my sister and she needs someone right now. I want to be there with her and watch my nieces and nephews have fun. I have missed that side of the family due to not being able to get to their house or something coming up. But this would be great.

Anyways, just wanted to share some good news for once. Thank you all for the huge support that you have shown me through the past years and I appreciate you all. Starting next Friday I won't have internet for a while, but I have it on my phone, just can't chat is all.

Thanks again and hugs
Jen

This is great news for you jen! I really wish you well living independently and I really hope that you are happy. Do you have a social worker? if so she should help you to organise things and hopefully get help with the move. You can also offer the local charities a donation to help you move (they usually have their own delivery trucks), Salvation Army, OP Shops, places like that.

And if you inform your landlord of your issues with mental health they may be supportive of your situation. It is difficult to get thrown out of disability housing; something really bad must happen before they will take that road.

I wish you all the best with this jen, please keep us updated with your progress,

Best Wishes,

Rhiannon

So I got to see the apt. and it has fresh paint and brand new carpet. It's wonderful. Pretty small but it's just me and I don't need a big place. I have what I call a "master bedroom" cause the bathroom is in the bedroom.

Thanks for everyone's kind words and support, i will keep you updated.

Hugs,
Jen

Hey,
I spent my first night in my new apt. Best night sleep I have had in months. I got a lot os things done throughout the week and yesterday was able to get much more done.

I am exhausted this morning with all I have done and I don't feel like doing a lot. I am leaving tomorrow for camping and wanted to get as much done as possible. I just don't have the energy, so after my laundry is done I may go back to sleep 4 while. I don't want to be so wore out on my vacation.

Take care everyone and will let u know how camping went.
Hugs,
Jen

Hey everyone,
I am back from camping. I got back thursday night cause it was supposed to rain and we went through a night of that while there. I had a pretty good time. I came home sun burnt and bit up but other than that it was a good time with family 4 the most part. I just don't think I could do it again. It was pretty hot during the day and cooler at night. The 95 degree day I fell asleep outside in the shade but woke up in the sun and was very burnt. Oh well its feeling better, now just the bug bites r pretty bad. I have bumps and scabs all over me. Guess they liked me. I also got stung by a bee and it hurt lots, but I just said that's part of camping.
Anyways am home trying to hook up my cable and am having a very rough time with it working.
Tc every1 and hugs,
Jen
