I know this sounds like I'm whining, and perhaps I am a bit. But I come here for suport and barely anyone if at all responds to my posts. If I'm lucky, I'll maybe get one or two

What forum are you posting in? There are some forums that I seldom read like self injury and eating disorders and some others. Sometimes I will get lots of responses to a thread I start and at other times not many. One time it was ten months before a half dozen people responded when I posted some painful life experience.

Please don't think that it is because we don't care about you. If you have something you would like to talk about you can always PM me or others. But please know that sometimes it takes me awhile to respond to PMs when I have to think about it for a bit to compose a reply.

I'm new here and I know it is hard to reach out then not to have anyone respond is very hard. Keep posting until someone responds. You did the right thing by stating your need for help the way you did. I am on here for myself and for others. I feel supported through this website. I know there are people here that understand my struggles more than people in my own life. Please know that you can always contact me and I will respond ASAP.
Thanks for this!

I am impressed, you got one or two responses; I've had some with no responses at all, seriously.

I am here too. Lots of caring folks around. You can always PM me as well. Hope this finds you well meanwhile.
Thanks for this!

It took me a while to get lots of responses but I recommend responding to ask many posts as possible. Then people will know you better and are more likely to respond to your posts.

Not everyone will resond to all messages. I think most people have a time where no one responds, sometimes it is because it is difficult to know what to say, even when simple support is enough,

Sometimes people just don't know what to say... it doesn't mean they don't care.
Also, sometimes it can take some time for a thread to get responses. "So many threads, so little time"... you know?

I started out responding to all sorts of posts and then got sort of burnt out. So, I now just pick and choose. Some forums I don't go on AT ALL, especially since they might be triggers for me. Also, many of us ARE time-limited. I know it's hard not to take a lack of response personally. I especially worry if I post on a social thread and on one seems to be responding. Yeah, and sometimes I just don't know what to say either.....

You asked what I would do if I knew I couldn't fail? Well, I'd be publishing novels and other books right and left. Currently, writing a book and knowing all that effort might not pay off in publication slows me down!

Okay? There are a lot of caring people out here--but a lot of hurting people, too, who just aren't up to interacting a lot! I certainly appreciate your efforts!
Thanks for this!

Sorry you've been feeling like no-one's listening. I've been away for a long while (computer issues and generally feeling rubbish) but I relate to Payne1 - sometimes I respond loads and other times I feel burnt out, and there are a few areas I avoid totally because of triggers. Also sometimes I don't know what to say. But here are hugs and support, I hope you find what you need here.

Ditto here. I alos tend to respond in sprurts;I follow a thread or a forum if I have time, and there are times that eve nwith people i have corrsponded a lot with, I can't find words to say. Hope that with time people come to know you beter and feel they know what will help you in different situations. Sometimes I wish I coud say something, but it's not always easy to know... Huggs and I hope you keep posting.
