I got to meet my new cousin today. She is beautiful. She is 2 years old and smart as all get out. My cousin Todd and his wife Kim adopted her over the summer. I am not sure why she ended up in the foster care system except maybe that she looks like she may have fetal alcohol syndrome. She has the facial features of a child that has that. She was fasinated with my mom's cane and kept trying to take it and bop people on the head with it LOL. She ended up getting a stick and hitting people. She did have a misstep with the grill she ran into it. We met at the park in a pavilion next to the big playground so the kids could play and in it was a big grill and she has trouble walking sometimes and she ran smack into the corner of the grill but she didn't cry until people started to fawn all over her. She ended up getting a big bandaid on it and kiss and a hug from mom and she was fine.

She loved my dad. My dad went to the car to get the camera and he was trying to take her picture and got down on her level and she kept trying to climb in his lap. He got a few pictures then just gave up and held her in his lap for a bit. For some reason little kids just love him.

It was a good picnic though and my Gluten Free brownies went over really good. There weren't any for me to bring home . But I am glad I went even though I don't feel good. I just hope that whatever I have isn't contagious and I don't make anyone sick especially that precious little one.
