At the moment South Africans are experienceing a halo around the sun, which is apparently a rare phenomena.

It's caused by ice crystals reflecting the light from the sun. After blinding myself I saw it too... it looks weird.

Wow that's really cool! It kinda looks like the sun is in a glass ball or something..

OK, it's in Johannesburg. Maybe that's why - Tsunamisurfer is from there tho!

I can see it too, although I don't live in Johannesburg, maybe CT is a bit too far?... Wish you could see it, it's really cool...
