When I came home last week I had mentioned to my dad that I was going to miss their computers because they have newer computers than my old Windows 98XE and he told me to go on Freecycle and ask for a newer computer. I thought yea right no one is going to have one. But I did it anyway and asked for a Windows XP or later and wouldn't you know someone gave me a Windows XP with a wireless mouse, keyboard, a monitor and a printer. All for free. They said they had just got a better one and didn't need this one anymore so they gave it to me. I virus scanned it and it cleaned up a pop up thingy just now but other than that it is clean.
I am so excited. I can now charge my Ipod at home and download music at my house. So if you want something try freecycle. Jan

Wow that's great and I'm happy for you Jan. Thanks for telling us about this - that's amazing you got it free. Can you put up a link because when I typed in Freecycle, i couldn't find it.

It should be www.freecycle.org it takes you to the map and then you go to your area. Most areas have a yahoo account and then you go from there.

I love freecycle. I've gotten rid of a bunch of stuff on it. I think it's a great concept. --splitimage
