I wish it was a holiday here in the UK too :-( work has got really hectic
Have a great Thanksgiving all of you in the States! Silly question - given you all get a big turkey dinner here in late November, do you have turkey for Christmas too (if you celebrate it), or are you sick of it then? I'm not sure I could go for another big turkey meal one month later... |

Yep...some folks do both. Some folks have turkey on Thanksgiving and then Ham on Christmas.
then again some people have a turduckhen for Thanksgiving. lol |

We have a family potluck. The hosts do the turkey and the rest of us do side dishes.
We only have about an hour and a half to travel, but have to take two cars because the kids are working Black Friday and need to be at work at 4 AM!! I don't even go out of the house on Black Friday let alone shop... |

I think the absolute best thing about Christmas in the UK is 'Boxing Day' - the 26th is an official holiday as well as the 25th - no way I'd be able to get myself shifted to work on Black Friday!
