It's been snowing like CRAZY here since Sunday! Here's a few pics I took of the snow.. We already have had about 160cm (which is about 80inches I think?) All schools have been closed since yesterday and the mail services aren't delivering mail.. the buses have stopped running and there have been over 300 car collisions! A lot of the high ways are closed and the ambulances are even getting stuck! They almost declared a state of emergency today.. it's ridiculous! I know I wanted snow for xmas, but holy crap! Be careful what you wish for!

Here's some pics of the snow storm:

We got.. SNOW!!

We got.. SNOW!!

We got.. SNOW!!

WOW!!! That looks like the shoreline here in Michigan...they have gotten over 20 inches of snow in the last 24 hours. They are pretty snowed in, and there isn't much moving there either. However, here inland, about 30 miles from Lake Michigan, we had only flurries, and nothing stuck!!! We are supposed to get a storm on Thursday night and Friday with lake-effect snowstorms, but I am not holding my breath. Last year they said that we would get a little snow...and it would turn into 8 to 10 inches! It was not very much fun...the schools were out quite a few times, and they say this winter is going to be much worse than last winter! I can wait for the snow. As long as there is snow on the ground for Christmas, right around the holiday itself, I will be happy!

80 inches? are you sure about that? that is like 6 and a half feet. those first pictures look maybe like 8 inches max, and that last photo maybe a few feet, depending on how high the fence is in real life. Sorry, just confused. How high is that fence anyway?

oops I did the math wrong! lol My mom told me we had 180 cm but it's more like 100 according to our newspaper. I kept thinking that cm was half of an inch, oops! So really it's only like 39 inches, I think? I'm confused! The main roads are plowed in the front but in the backyard, the snow is past my knees! eeeek!

We had a nice snow, nothing major, here in Ohio. I'm about an hour north of Cincinnati, near Dayton, and we get snow pretty frequently in the winter, but it never ceases to amaze me how many people can't drive in the snow!!! I mean, if you took drivers ed in this area, they cover what to do in snowy and icy conditions.... so it's not a surprise!!!

I heard someone say that the forecast for the upcoming weekend is for almost 5 inches more of snow... now, whether it's true or not.... I just wanna be home and safe, playing my Wii, and making some chili in the crockpot! I might go to the local MetroPark that has the most gorgeous waterfall that looks amazing when it freezes... only if I can find my Red Wing Boots!! ( I TOTALLY recommend them to keep those tootsies warm and dry!!!)

oh man, I live in toronto and we just missed all that snow there's only a few cms now on the ground; you can already see the grass in the footprints people left. Now to decide if I should be jealous of all that snow you got or thankful for the lack of mine?
