Tonight I am going out with Rex. We are going out to dinner and then off to look at Christmas lights. It is a tradition we have. We dress up for dinner and then drive around.

Tonight we are also exchanging our Christmas presents to each other. He is normally a very good shopper. He has me very intrigued with what he has got me because he told me around Thanksgiving not to buy anything media wise. So I am thinking it might be the new Josh Groban CD. I am hoping that is what it is because I know it isn't what I really want from him. I really want a ring on my left hand from him but know I will never get that.

I bought a new dress today, tights, a scarf and some ear rings to wear. He said he will be wearing a dress shirt and tie. I wanted to wear my new sweater my mom gave me and my black dress pants but my dress pants are way to big and the only other black pants I have are leggings. I need to get some black pants but when I saw the dress I knew I had to have it. Which is rare because I am not normally a dress type person.

I got Rex a picture of Tyger in a cute cat frame (he calls Tyger his son) and I am going to treat him to a movie. I also combine his Christmas present with his birthday present so his birthday part of his present will be popcorn and a drink at the movies. I wanted to make him a blanket but found out the supplies were going to be way expensive. So decided on the movie instead. So he will get to choose the movie. If he chooses a 3D movie it will have to be a matinee we go to or I can't afford it. He is good about knowing things like that though so he won't mind.

But I am excited about tonight.

Wow sounds like you are going to have a good evening! Your gift idea is great! That is so cute! I hope you get the present that you want (the CD that is, but am hoping for the ring for you!). Enjoy yourself!

I got the CD. I am listening to it right now and it is AWESOME!! I love Josh and Rex knows this.

I knew better than to get my hopes up about the ring. Heck he hasn't even kissed me yet. I doubt that will ever happen either.

He did tell me though I looked nice and that his mom thought I am looking good too. I saw his mom last week at his concert. He sings with the local community college's choral group. They had their Christmas concert last week and I of course was there. It was good except I was uncomfortable during one song..they sang that REO Speedwagon song Can't fight that feeling. Since I have such strong feelings for him I felt uncomfortable and didn't want to look at him so kept looking around the room and every time I would look at him he was looking at me.

He liked his gift and so we will see what movie he picks out for his gift.

Thanks for sharing about your evening out ((Jan)). Sounds like a very nice time you both had. He sounds like a respectful man, a rare find - you're also a nice woman as well. I hope one day you also get the other things you're wishing for - you deserve it!!

He is my best friend. It makes it difficult sometimes because of how strong my feelings for him are but I manage those fine.

He is coming out to my parents house next weekend for us to dip pretzels. That is another tradition of ours. He looks forward to it and talks about it for a long time. Shortly after Halloween is over he asks when are we going to do pretzels? So I figured if we did them on the 18th maybe we won't eat them all by Christmas LOL. His family is going to be in town for Christmas so he will be with them instead of me. If his family is gone he spends it with me.

So I had fun.
