I was just getting ready to figure out my favorite comfort food, Racee! I don't think it was a silly question! Sometimes it just takes me (and maybe others) a while to think of what we believe will be a good answer! Peanut m & m's help to comfort me, by the way!
Thanks for this!

Chocolate - and sugar in general - has a powerful effect on my mood. It can give me quite a high. But then I crash afterwards. So it's not really comfort food for me. It's more like a quick "pick-me-up", but I have to pay a price afterwards!

I find carbohydrates, especially grains, comforting. Tonight we had Soba Noodles and veggies done in a wok with a Thai peanut sauce. I found it not only delicious but also very satisfying and I feel satiated and calm now.

I also really enjoy oven roasted veggies. They are definitely comfort food for me. And bread! I love bread!!

It also strikes me that comfort food for me is generally food that I don't need to chew very much. I enjoy soft textures. Maybe it takes me back to my childhood or something!!

Aaaarrrgghhhhh! lonegael now you have me craving a fudge pudding! Only one thing for it...off to the kitchen...like I need that with diabetes LOLLL! But as someone said we only have this life once...when we come back for the next life we might not like that food then...what a waste in this life!

* Chocolate Muffins
* Grilled Mushrooms
* Roast chicken tortillas with sour cream and guacamole

Can't decide on a favorite, they're all good. Oh and chicken and mushroom pizza hits the spot, too.
Thanks for this!

chocolate....and choc/hazelnut spread.eat it by spoonful not as a spread. but lately any food helps me......
trouble is I often DONT feel hungry..... but if I eat, then I feel better, however i´m overeating as cant judge portions required for just me....... used to cooking for more, and when i do cook something, there is too much, but not really enough to keep half for another time
Thanks for this!

Rice pudding. Sourdough bread and butter warm from the oven, Cambells chicken noodle soup or my mom,s Irish stew. Sourdough goes GOOD with that
