I thought I was going to be all day but my brother wants me to go to his house...guess I will go for a bit my niece and nephew are really counting on me being there. But I will be on here the rest of the time

We are going to my in-laws Xmas eve. My father-in-law is very old and sick. Probably his last Xmas. My mother-in-law acts like a little kid every Xmas. Anyway, we got news that my father-in-law's kidneys are now failing.
We will be here, home on Xmas, cooking a turkey and what-not. My mother passed away last April. Merry Xmas to all. I am doing okay, for me, all things considered. MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!!

I will be on my own as usual so will probably hit this after visiting my mans grave and opening my gerbils prezzies!! only problem is i am not on US time as I'm in the UK so guess like most days i will be one of only a couple on at that time!! oh well christmas only lasts 24 hours and i will be asleep for a good 8 of those roll on boxing day when i can hit the sales!!!!

 Not sure of my plans yet ... oh wait... I have NO plans so I'm really unsure of what's going on on that blessed day! Christmas completes the PC year for me, as I joined the 26th of December. Completing my 7th year here volunteering support at Psychcentral.

Christmas eve I am singing one song in a gospel choir. My son may or may not come. The other part of the family is with the in-laws most of the time but on Christmas Day, I am going to have a 'bath' with some nice music and lovely scents and a candle after I spend breakfast (about an hour or so) with the family.
I bought myself a turkey breast and a potatoe and some veggies. I'm going to buy a yam too and a special dessert...and...I hope to read a special light Christmas novel I started at the beginning of December. I'm looking forward to the 'peaceful' day at home alone. Probably will be lonely now and then but like someone else said, it's only 24 hours and with luck 8 of those hours will be sleeping. It's nice to know someone or two will be here. So those are the plans...which may or may not happen.

I don't know what's happening Christmas day here in my situation; I usually go to my stepsister's but I haven't received an invite yet (and I usually have to bring a ham, too, as my contribution) and am starting to think I remember there being something about it not happening this year. But last year DH suddenly didn't feel well, we think because of something he ate/drank, and we went home and I was concentrating more on that than the general conversation so don't know if I remember this year wasn't happening or am making it up now :-)
