This year, I have 3 new years resolutions. The first is to lose half of my goal weight by July. In doing so, I plan to be more active (go to the gym, work out at home), eat healthier, drink less pop/soda and more water, and start eating breakfast so that I have 3 meals a day instead of one. I'm very determined to lose all the weight that I gained from meds, and am very determined to live a healthier life style.

Another new years resolution I made, is to finish the first draft of my book. I had been slacking off with it the past few months, but I now plan to work at least an hour or more on it each day.

And my final new years resolution for 2010, is to get a job, whether it be part time, or full time, so help save up money for school for next Sept. (Part of this new years resolution also includes getting accepted to the program I want to take at the local college here in my city). Fingers crossed!!

So those are my new year's resolutions. What's everyone else's?

Mine is to reach a healthy weight. (according to a book mom bought my healthy weight range is 130-150 pounds so I'm aiming for 140) It shouldn't be THAT hard, considering I'm giving myself an entire year so I'd only ave to lose about a pound a week, maybe 2 and that is do-able for me provided I don't give into food addiction and do something other then sit on my butt all day...

as a big of motivation I'm not cutting my hair until I do... and my hair is already driving me crazy (people with short hair: do not forsake how easy it is to take care of it)
Thanks for this!

1 - The never-ending one to lose weight. Sigh. I don't know how to break this cycle and just change my lifestyle for good.

2 - Unpack EVERY single box we have. We moved here 2 years ago and some stuff is still in boxes - and some of it we boxed up 5 years ago before my daughter was born. Just some trinkets & souvenirs & momentos & decorations & stuff like that.

3 - Go an entire year without a sick day (I have a bad history with this, that's how I lost my last job)

I want to become like the "world's most interesting man" like the guy in the Dos Equis beer commercial, except I want to become the "world's most interesting, kind and fit man".

1. Stick to my new workout/diet program to get to my target weight of 170lbs, which I have only been able to do once before.
2. Get involved with a non-profit that helps inner city kids work toward getting a college education. I want to help them have confidence in themselves despite their rough circumstances (I lived in the inner city as a kid).
3. Start going to lectures at local museums, bookstores and the Commonwealth Club.
4. Re-start my business.

As far as my goals for therapy go, I don't really have any set down. I figure as long as I try to do the work, things will happen in their own time.

I, as usual, want to get healthier and stop eating so much junk. Whether this will actually happen, I don't know Can't hurt to try!

My main one is to learn to drive. Then I have several smaller goals/habit changes, like making sure I leave the house every day, eat a good breakfast, exercise a couple of times a week, etc.

gosh, y'all have such great resolutions...

I'm going to make sure I have more fun
Sing, and sing loudly (poo to my being kicked out of the choir when I was young)
Dance, drop the crutches and sway to the music..I've no rhythm and I do not care.
Travel...Travel Without Sedation

and get off my butt and

Feed The Starving

especially
especially see the souls that are starving and feed them
do not let them hunger
for touch, acceptance, hold their faces in my hands and look into their eyes and smile and kiss seventy two spots on their faces
listen, hear their worries and sorrows and stand with them when action is not possible
ah, silently standing is an action of sorts

Open my arms and heart when I need my own guardians

In Peace...Peace

My resolution...is not to make one. Unfortunately, I don't have the wherewithall to stick to my resolutions. So, rather than be disappointed in myself yet again, I've decided that it's in my best interest not to make any. Instead, I'll quietly focus on things as they arise and try to make myself a better person as a result of my efforts.
