Just wanted to say, I haven't been on here for a while, due to the Christmas break. I hope everyone had a good/is having a good holiday period and wanted to wish everyone on here best wishes for 2011 - none of us would be on here if we didn't experience some hard times at least occasionally, so here's hoping everyone has better times next year

I was lucky enough to go on holiday to the western USA for the week before Christmas with some friends (celebrating one friend's birthday), which was great, but we did get caught up in the plane cancellations which followed the Great Freeze of European airports! It wasn't too bad though, and we made it back into London on Christmas Day. I've missed Christmas with my family for the first time ever (they live quite far away and were still quite snowed in, so said it wasn't worth me coming up to them) but I did get to spend the days after Christmas with my girlfriend's family, who I really like.

As I say, the winter weather affected me mildly, but it seems to have affected lots of people a lot more - the pictures from New York over Christmas were astonishing! - so I hope everyone who is suffering from the severe weather is keeping warm and safe.
