I left a little comment for the dirtbag...I can't get why ANYONE would think it is ok to publish such a book. These animals deserve to die

At the time, the author told ABCNews.com that his critics are misunderstanding the point of his book.

"They're accusing me of wanting to hurt children. They're accusing me of encouraging pedophilia and all these other things. But that's not why I wrote the book," he said.

"I wrote the book to establish guidelines so that people would behave in a manner that is non-injurious to each other, for one, and, for two, to communicate the fact that these people who are so different in maturation, etc., that when they develop relationships, they use certain principles that regular people, adults, would be well to attend."
How do you write a book titled "The Pedophile's Guide to Love and Pleasure: a Child-lover's Code of Conduct." and not hurt children? What holds this guy's ears apart?!?!?

"so different in maturation"??????
children by definition are not mature! Twisting words to cover his twisted thinking.

For that matter, what were the folks at Amazon thinking when they agreed to sell this piece of trash?
Thanks for this!

Has anyone here actually read the book to see what it says?

Good point, Pachy, though I for one, would actually be afraid for my peace of mind to do so. I get so swamped with such stuff at work, I don't feel well, able to open the compartmentalization to take that on at home on my free time. Something might well give, to be honest. Huggss and point well taken.

That's a legitimate question Pachy but the article states this: "He said Florida has a very clear obscenity statute prohibiting the depiction of children engaged in sexual conduct and two real-life stories in Greaves' book violated that statute". If the title is any indication of what's inside then I'm sure it's offensive. I highly doubt it pedophiles would find his book useful. I don't know what he was thinking when he decided to publish this - does he want people to hate him?

Excellent point Pachy. I spent the last hour searching the 'net looking for an exerpt from the book to see for myself. I could not find any exerpts, found plenty of places where I could download the ebook for free, but no exerpts. I didn't want to download the whole book for several reasons 1) heaven only knows what kind of virus, etc might be attached to the down load, 2) I have a job working with kids, what if someone found out I downloaded a book about pedophilia? I could lose my job. 3) this sounds paranoid, but what if the feds are tracking who downloads the book looking for possible pedophiles? Not a list I want my name on.

I did find a disturbing quote from the author...

Quote:
""To tell you the truth, I don't think it's always bad for the child," Greaves said. "But I do think it's always confining to the adult. If it's something that the child didn't have a problem with, maybe a fine of some kind, but if it was actual physical harm or trauma ... oh, a few years of jail perhaps.”

I'm disturbed by the idea that he doesn't think pedophilia is harmful to the child.
