Update!

Sorry I haven't been around much lately, everyone. I figured I'd give a quick update on things, though

First, I was working two jobs. One was seasonal, so as the holidays got closer, I worked more. I did mention I'd be interested in keeping the job after the holidays, but they didn't know when they'd be hiring. As it is, I have one more day for them, and then it's back to the one job, 7-11 hours a week.

Secondly, I lost my grandmother on the last day of November. She had been sick, but seemed like she was getting better. It was really hard on me. I had flown to where she was while she was in the hospital, went home thinking she could recover from this, and then a week later, I was heading back east for her funeral. It was really hard, I cried every day for a week, and on and off for a few days after that. I'd get upset shopping for Christmas stuff. But things are getting better, and I know she's happier now.

Third, and probably most exciting, I got engaged on Christmas! My fiance and I have been together for about 5 years, long distance for most of it, but living together for the past 6 months, and it's been great. Sure, ups and downs, but that's to be expected. We're very happy, but I'm not a 100% ready to plan a wedding right now (see above...), but we're thinking sometime 2012.

That's all the big news for now! I've missed you all, and I'm glad to finally get an update in (especially one that isn't all bad news!) I hope everyone is doing well, and feel free to catch me up on what's going on in your lives!
