Thats was incredibly cool madisgram. I have to say I was a little intimidated of doing badly at first and I fear the idea of getting alzheimers. I did remarkably well and instantly recognized at the letters/numbers on the first part and read the scrambled letters effortlessly, so I'm happy my brain is well lol. I think playing mind enhancing games helps and I think playing Mahjong here at PC helped with finding the odd #'s and letters. I guess I would be sad if I didn't do well and I hope everyone else has good results. Thanks for posting this.

That was fun and informative. I did really well, though I harbored some apprehension I might start freaking a little if I couldn't complete the tasks. Wasn't a problem!

Hmmmm....I passed the test!
![]() So how come I can't figure out how to pick up a spoon or open a door when necessary? When these episodes occur, the object is very familiar to me but I have no idea what to do with it or how it works. The harder I try, the worse it gets. If I relax completely it will sometimes come back to me, but most times I have to give up and move onto something else. I'm almost certain if my house ever catches on fire, I will be frozen solid. ![]() ![]() Oh well - at least I still have the ability to read scrambled text...and pick out the oddballs in the group. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Nailed it! Nothing to do with memory, that's why.
![]() I've seen something like this before, with reading the first and last etters. What's really hard are the color ones where the word is the name of a color but colored a different color. |

Kathy, that's because it's a screener for prodromal problems, not for people who already have the disorder. I get similar blocks occasionally that i believe are a function of the bipolar, I have always had these freezes, even as a child, almsot as if processing suddenly slows way down and even though part of the brain is still cranking along identifying and trying to regulate and plan action, the action doesn't happen. Catatonia? Usually only lasts a couple of seconds and happnes more often when i am depressed. Also passed the test without problems. Then again, I can write for people upsidedown and right to left, read when people sitting across from me are writing, etcetera. can also print legibly left hand and write with my right foot
