Another post raised a question in my mind...and has made me bold enough to ask. If you have a face book page, how many do you have? Do you have one for everyone who knows you? Or do you have like one identity for this group of friends and another identity for that group of friends... I have one page with my real name and the people on it know me in real life, but don't know the personal business I share with online friends. I'm thinking of starting a second page so I can share myself with people I know I'm safe with. What should I do? What do you other facebookers do?

I hope I didn't make this sound stupid.

Hi (((((Liberada)))))) I haven't been on Facebook in ages, but I used to have two accounts. The other thing you can do is create separate lists within your friend's list. So, for example, I created a separate list of people on Facebook who I played games with - Farmville etc - and each time I posted anything to do with Farmville etc, I selected that list, so only those people would see it.

I hope that makes sense. At any rate, the idea is, that each time you post something on Facebook you can control who can and who can't see it among your friends. You just need to create different lists ("work friends", "game friends", "family", whatever) and then you select the relevant list each time you post so that only those people can see the post.

Or, you could just have multiple accounts, which is less work!!!!!!!!!

I can't imagine, for me, setting up another account, one more account to check in and log into. I only have the need for one at this point. However, as suggested above there is a way to only show people certain things when you need and want to. I don't know how but have friends who have done this. I would look further into this.

I have one account. Mainly for people who know me in real life, family members, or the odd person that has a similar interest to me, or is a friend of a friend.

I'd never think of having a second account - too much admin.
PC is like my second, anonymous page

I decided. I set up a new account. It'scalled Distorted Image. If anyone wants to friend me I'm here.. actually I'm between a sick child and a few loads of laundry, but I AM here!

There are some people who you can talk to and some you can't. Most who can are on PC (yay) ...or some other psych board.

Anyway, I'm so new I haven't uploaded a pic of myself yet.

I have over ten. One useless personal since I know no friends at all, and a bunch of roleplay ones that I enjoy. ^^

I'm deleting the Distorted Image account. It feels too weird. I feel uncomfortable having two accounts. It's like I've created a stranger. Like Skully says, there's only one me.

Sorry I started the thread

I have three -
one for work (co workers and friends I meet through work)
one for personal (family and friends on the home front)
one for gaming so I don't spam all the game posts on those that are not playing the games.

when I had all three combined I tended to forget who was playing games and ended up sending everyone game requests LOL Sometimes Im not so good about returning messages either.

With each aspect of my life separate I can adjust my facebook time accordingly, not send requests to those who are not playing and return those messages in a timely manner by working one account at a time.
