"Your existence gives me hope"

Quote:
I looked at it for about 5 seconds and kept walking. But the message stayed with me. I repeated the words in my head and it made me feel good each time I did. I kept thinking about it as I walked around, wondering who put the message there and why.
The words stayed with me a few days, each time I'd think them I'd have pleasant thoughts. I imagined a person touched by the unexpected kind actions of another. I imagined the happiness of someone being told they inspired someone else. I imagined someone grateful for another person but too shy to say so. I imagined people who inspired me and others. I imagined that I was filling someone with hope just by being me.
Everything I imagined was nice, everything made me connected and happy.
I began to think the message's only purpose was to inspired happy thoughts. And for me it did. I think the mystery was a big part of it. Why this message and to whom? The mystery kept me thinking about it. And it was nice.
So I decided to post the same message without explanation or comments so that you would read it and maybe wonder about happy things for little while. I hope it worked.
Thanks for this!

That was beautiful ((Kaika))

My best friend lived with her boyfriend along the lakefront in Chicago when she was in her early 20s. She was suffering from end-stage cancer. The area where she lived was known as "Artisans Way" because of the flat rocks and concrete that was a perfect canvas for street artists.

One night my friend's boyfriend went out and spray-painted her name in black...four simple letters: "Cris"

I visited them several days later, and we walked along the lakefront. An unknown artist had come along and decorated her name using moonlight over water with the C and a beautiful swan with the S. Everything about the "painting" was filled with what my friend loved most in her favorite colors.

I have an old photo of it, but time and weather has caused it to disappear. I still like to go out there sometimes and remember my friend. It was one of her favorite spots.

Thanks for the memory....and for the hope.
Thanks for this!

Thanks for the beautiful message, Kaika! Giving "hope" to somebody else is certainly a noble goal for all of us.

I know for me there is only one existence in this universe that can give me hope.....I constantly remind myself of that, but nice to have a post that takes my thoughts there also.

Giving hope to others is definitely a good goal for all....agree with Payne's comment also.
