ok - so I don't have a great driving record, it was spotless until a run of bad luck began in 2006, since then I've had 4 at fault claims and 2 highway traffic act convictions. This puts me in the high risk category. The only insurance I can get is through Facility, which is the insurer of last resort her in ON. And my annual premium will be $15,300. Yes you read that right.

I've got to find a job that's accessible by transit, so that I can sell my car, unfortunately most of the jobs that I seem to be qualified for aren't on transit lines, so for now I'm stuck. I'm just going to have to suck it up as a learning experience and find the money somehow.

Haha. You're not alone there. Funny thing is all my car bad luck started in 2006, also.
I'd love to be able to bike or find another way of transportation. However, with no real means of doing so in this area - kinda screwed paying.

Best of luck to you though. D: Its a real drag to be so damn car dependent these days with the price of gas and insurance.
