Since mittens are supposed to be warmer than gloves in cold weather, I suppose the KSO might not be a good choice for winter walks?

I find that even toe socks make my toes colder in the winter & aren't as comfortable.

Think people are always looking for things that are different to spend their money on. Will be interesting to see for just how LONG the interest lasts or if it's just because it's new & different currently. The test of time will tell just how practical they are.

I'm sorry your toes get cold with toe socks on eskie...i feel the opposite...my toes are warmer with toe socks on because there is yarn all around each toe instead of just around the toes in general...I don't feel that socks give enough warmth to the foot on the whole unless it is a winter sock...my plain socks that I wear through the summer are way too thin to wear in winter...and I only have 2 pair of winter socks...but I like my toe socks too...now if Myriam would just quit stealing them to wear herself I would have some awesome socks!!! Guess I will have to go out and buy some more toe socks next week!!!

Thanks for sharing. Are they only sold online? How are they different than walking barefoot and do they make your feet sweat...being synthetic fiber?

i have worn them in colder temps, up to an hour outside just standing by my telescope in 30 degrees. toes got cold, but not unbearable. guess it just depends of the person. im sure getting the right size; toe socks can be used and the shoes are made of different materials for different uses.

I prefer the flow style. i have 1 pair of KSO and i wear them but i do like the flow better.

currently, online and only certain shops. I never found them in a store, got my online. I cant really answer the barefoot question since i hate walking barefoot. But i dont have real straight toes and the shoes help cause it straightens the toes out and walking is not as painful. For sweating, depends on sizing and i guess the foot. i have sweated more in the snugger pair than the larger ones, but cant wear toe socks with the snugger pair, too tight. I have sweated just the same with normal shoes and no socks. Overall, id suspect it is just an individual thing.

It's great to hear your personal experiences with them.....gives better insight into how they really work.

standing outside in 30F any length of time would have me freezing all over even if I were concentrating on a telescope.....that took bravery just to go outside in that temperature.
