Lately I have been driving myself to our family gatherings so when I get tired of being around family I can leave.

Well yesterday afternoon after I had left I noticed my passenger side windshield wiper was acting wonky, sometimes it would work half ways and sometimes it would track all the way into the drivers side of vision so that the drivers side windshield wiper would collide with it. Finally the drivers side windshield wiper started to come off. So I pulled to the side of the road fixed it, called my dad to let him know what was going on and he asked if I was safe enough to go on and I thought I was so on I went.

Well I got up on the highway that takes me to the exit to my apartment and wouldn't you know it my drivers side windshield wiper just went flying off the car.

Of course this is all happening in pouring down rain so I have to slow down and I finally get to an exit I can take to get to a road that can take me home.

I got home and called my dad told him I made it home and I was safe. After my windshield wiper went flying off I called him and mind you this is bumper to bumper traffic and he asked if I could find it in the road. Sure dad let me pull over and go play frogger in the many lanes of traffic to find a windshield wiper LOL. I just told him no and I was going to continue on home.

He came over this morning and said when it stops raining to bring my car out to his house and he thinks he knows how to fix my passenger side wiper and then buy another wiper for the drivers side.

What a way to end a good time with family.

Jan

That would scare me too. I hate driving in the rain. Glad that you made it home safe.
