It's a rock with no atmosphere... scientists once again will debate it's classification this latest conference... sigh.

I think Pluto has a thin atmosphere, and it does have two tiny satalites. So that makes it a planet, right? Maybe not. Pluto may be an interloper from the Kiber (SP) Belt, where comets and similiar objects live. One or two are even bigger than Pluto. Pluto "we hardly knew ye."

And what effect will this information have on the dog Pluto. Speaking of that, what is Goofey supposed to be? Is it possible Goofey is a dog with a pet dog. If so, that is just wrong.

Well.. it's up for debate again... as Pluto and the next "planet" out need to belong somewhere imo.. either the Kuipher belt or in our solar system. some older data: http://science.nasa.gov/newhome/head...t17feb99_1.htm

Insteading of downgrading Pluto, they have decided to add 3 MORE planets!!!

Seems there are redefining the definition itself... Pluto may be demoted. talk about hydrostatic equilibrium! Sedna? Ceres? Cheron? IDK they will be considered as new class of planets called Plutons. Pluto may be demoted.

Today, we only have 8 planets in our solar system! Who knew! Pluto is not round, and therefore not a planet.

BUT maybe tomorrow we'll have 2 new ones?????
