As some of you guys know I bought my first home in November of last year. I have since spring embarked on my first attempt at doing landscaping.

I set up 3 flower beds and went from there. The grass, another story altogether. Here are some pics:

Nice.

Good luck with the grass - maybe worry about it next summer.

Looks great Tim. Can you get a shot of all three beds from the street and the house to see what you see. Did you have to do soil amendment? Your land has some nice contours to work with. What kind of grass does well there?
Thanks for this!

Looks like a great plan, tim. A shot from the street would be cool. And did you plant a butterfly garden?

The soil was moetly red clay as is typical of central NC. We ended up using a lot of compost and topsoil. The Landscaping is all in the backyard so very little is actually visible from the street in front of the house, I may take some more pics from the back though.

What! No benches to see and watch the butterflies?

What else do you have planned for the future? Is the gap between the horizontal beds for putting in a swimming pool

Very nice, Tim, you can come help me after you finish helping Yoda.
