I've seen the social groups for music, art, painting and poetry but wondered how many other members share my passion for personal creativity through hobbies like sewing, flower arranging, woodworking, home or seasonal decorating, ceramics, pottery making or searching for collectibles?

My husband and I both find satisfaction and a sense of personal expression through hobbies; sewing and crafting are therapeutic for me, he enjoys restoring vintage cars and motorcycles.

Pet lovers know what "puppy fever" is, car buffs understand "new car fever" - what is more inspiring to a crafter or hobbyist than seeing someone else's projects?

Please join if you enjoy hobbies you would like to share with other members.

I love hobbies. There are so many that I want to do. I do a few that I can somewhat keep up with.

**Angel** and GingerBlue,

Here is the link. I'm still trying to find my way around PsychCentral. For the first time in weeks, if not a couple of months, it is raining here. Always one to avoid housework if at all possible, a hugely welcomed rainy morning screams out to be spent sewing!

I've been working on some new purses, fusing designs cut from cotton dishtowels onto heavy decorator fabric. I love the end result, nobody would ever guess where the cute designs come from, but my old eyes make outlining the cutouts with a fine line of paint a challenge.

Please do join - I'd love to see other hobbies.

QOC, I posted a couple of (very amateur) quilts on my profile. This sounds like a lot of fun and might get me motivated to do more crafts!

One thing I've wanted to do but haven't is make quilted purses - I don't have the patience to quilt! I own a couple of ancient quilts but they're too fragile to use. One originally belonged to my mother. When she married my dad, a lot of her friends and family members (including her father) wrote their signatures on a quilt piece and then someone stitched the lettering and quilted the whole thing.

I'm on my way now to look at your pictures. I know someone in Colorado who makes quilted wallhangings and that's another skill I wish I had but don't.
