I am curious to know how can people be on psych central while their circle thing is red. I am just confused. If someone's circle thing is green, they are online. How comes some people are on but they look offline to me?

There is an option to be 'invisible.'

It's just about choice on whether you want to be seen or not. If you want to be invisible you will need to go to 'My Profile' and then 'Edit Options.'

Heheh. One of my reasons is that I'm embarrased about how long I take to write posts(!) Lol, but true. Don't know why this bothers me, it's not as if anyone would even notice(!)

Also, a lot of times I'd be "on", but not on. Leaving the computer on, and since this is one of very few places I go, tend to leave it set on PC, returning only periodically to reward myself for getting things done. I like to get back to people promptly, and wouldn't want them to think I was ignoring them. (That's probably kooky thinking, but there you have it!)

A lot of times, I'm just not up to responding, even if I want to. Kind of like not picking up the phone or answering the door.

But mostly because I just plain forget I have it set that way.

Same here. I am always 'invisible' because I am logged onto several internet sites 24/7 and I don't want somebody to see the green 'on' when I am sleeping or away because they may think I have read a PM before I have and stuff like that.
