It's summer here, and I get really hot at night, but unfortunatly i havent been able to sleep with a fan on for years now.
If i do, i get sick instantly the next day.
Like a cold and stuff.
Lol, i know this sounds ridiculous but really.
Why does this happen...?

could be all the dust circulating around... are you allergic to dust? Make sure the fan is clean, as in no dust... and dust the rest of your room too.

I get that as well. I've found that if the fan isn't blowing on my head I won't get postnasal drip. Fortunately I don't have any problems with the ceiling fan.

In my case I think the cold stimulates mucous production, which gets backed up because I have narrow drainage tubes, so it takes all day for everything to drain out.

I would agree that it may be dust/allergins in the fan. Is it a FAN or an air conditioner. One suggestion would be to fill a hot water bottle up with cold water and use that. I get really nervous at night so no matter how hot it is I have to have blankets on me to feel safe, but I cant leave anything on and waste electricity. Using a cold water bottle helps.
