Minnesota has been roasting this summer. It seems to be unusual, high heat + high humidity = high morbidity.

How is the weather by you? Unusual or typical?

It's a bit hotter than usual, it's in the 90's right now (yeah I know, quite a few people probably fell off their chairs laughing right now ), but luckily we have pretty much zero humidity, so it's not too bad. I mean, it's hot, but it's not unbearable. I just wish we had a/c. All we have is a window a/c, and right now the heat is a bit much for the poor thing.

Its very hot here and we usually are famous for high humidity - why...because we have The Great Lakes around this area. Its in the high 90's with a humidex of 110 today and its supposed to get worse tomorrow. It's been like this for 6 days. I have pots on my porch and I have to water them 3 times a day when its like this. I feel really sorry for poeple who don't have air conditioning or animals who are left outside too long.

Most days have been highs in the 90's to low 100's here.

It's actually cooler than normal where I am (San Francisco Bay Area) and temps are about 10 degrees below average for this time of year. I'm sending you cooling ocean breezes!

It is HOT in Upstate New York but I feel I have no place to complain. I moved up from Southern Oklahoma and they have been locked into a huge heat wave and drought down there. I feel for those that are from Texas to Minnosota.

stay cool..........

Michigan felt left out so Mother Nature decided to throw a little of that heat our way.

This is the forecast for the rest of the day...

Today:
Partly cloudy. Hot. High near 95F. Winds SW at 10 to 20 mph.
Tonight:
Mainly clear. Muggy. Low 77F. Winds SW at 10 to 15 mph.

I might just be headin' to the beach tomorrow! 98 degrees is HOT to us.

whenwillitend,

That low humidity does make a huge difference. Thanks for sharing, hope that window AC keeps chugging

Funny, we never hear about Canada's weather ~ even though you're just north of us. I've always wondered what weather was like up there.

Our heat index has been from 105 to 120 for several days now. Today is supposedly our last day of extreme temp's for 7 days, but I'll believe it when I see it!

Thanks for sharing your experience ~ stay as cool as you can.

Indie'sOK,

Yeah, that is hot! Hope that this passes soon ~ or it sure will be a miserable summer for me . I'd rather be cold, than hot, I can always put on more layers to warm me up. Can only take off so much in the heat

Serious heat wave happenning in Toronto - hot & humid. My hair is so frizzed, I look like a chia pet. Tomorrow it's supposed to get up to 38C not sure what that is in farenheit.

Not sure, but I know that that's hot! I'm German, and back in highschool, when the temperature reached 25 C, we got sent home because it was too hot for school. Of course, nothing in Germany had a/c back then, not even stores, so it did get pretty toasty.

It's soo hot in Texas during the summer! I was out all day filming and now I'm really sunburned. ): And we had a German exchange student last year, and when she left (it was like 95 or something that day) it was like 65 when she got back to Germany!

For me, the worst part is taking a shower, and by the time I get dressed I'm all sweaty again. HATE that. I agree with the 70's. That's a good temperature.

Hot and humid. Still in the 90s at 9pm. The humidity makes it so much worse. Last night I woke up because it was too hot in my bedroom. It sucks that the a/c doesn't cool off the bedrooms.

I had an appointment this morning with an image consultant in her nicely air conditioned house. When I stepped outside at noon, my glasses actually fogged up, like they do when you come inside during the winter. That's hot.

Here in KS we're expecting two more days of insane heat (well over 100) and then FINALLY in the 90s for a while after that! I'd better get my winter jacket out, lol.

I was realllllllllllly hoping that we would have a thunderstorm, like my area was promised. No such luck. I give up on my hair, I must have a curly gene from my mother. I did notice that all of Eastern/Southern Ontario is currently suffering pretty equally though

And THAT is why I choose to not wear glasses anymore. YUCK!

Tomorrow is supposed to be mildly better though, estimating 30C feeling like 32C.

Thanks Shezbut. Yes it depends on which province we're in and how far up North. I live in Ontario right on the border of Michigan, so we get similar weather to Michigan - all 4 seasons.

Today we hit a record of 100 with a humidity factor of 110. It's been like this for at least a week - I've lost track lol. My lawn needs cutting but I'm not taking the risk of doing it. I had to water my pots 4 times today. We need a good rain and I guess next week it supposed to go down to the tolerable mid 80's.
