cold water is good for minor burns.
But more serious ones may need medical attention. __________________ Soup |

Sorry to hear that (((ariesmars))). Here's a link and you can also take some tylenol or ibuprofen for pain.

Run it under cold water. If it's a bad burn put some ointment on it and wrap it in a band-aid if you need to be picking up or using that finger, but otherwise let it get some air. Also if it hurts tomorrow a cup of ice works really well I did something like that when I was little...I somehow managed to touch the metal part where the hot glue comes out while hot glue was coming out and I morphed my finger print (you can still see the scar) so I sympathize with the pain.

There is a product called second skin out there that is wonderful. It keeps the burn cool while preventing infection.

I seem to do that every time I use the glue gun.....not my favorite tool, but it works so good for some things I just can't give up using it.
I remember one time when I just graduated from high school, my parents had driven out to my grandparents house for my grandfather's funeral. For some reason my dad was talking about the tail pipe of the car which was new at the time & I put my finger on the exhaust pipe. It didn't look hot, but boy did it burn my finger really bad. I can definitely relate to the pain you are feeling both from the glue gun & from my other experience. Nothing worse than a burn or a sore finger for any reason because we are always needing to use our fingers & when it's sore, it just keeps getting hurt continually. Hope your finger is feeling a bit better by now. __________________ Leo's favorite place was in the passenger seat of my truck. We went everywhere together like this.
