I just got a 3 month old black lab puppy about a week ago...I named him Zeppelin and I think he's just adorable.

That being said, although I love black labs, my all-time favourite dog is a siberian husky.

basset hounds, basset mixes & chesapeake bay retrievers.

currently i have 2 pure basset hounds (male & female) both rescues...the female is a long term foster, 1 basset/beagle mix (rescue) & a basset/st bernard mix foster .

i have had a basset/english setter mix before ( a rescue) & a chessie...both who have passed.

all my dogs have been rescues & i have fostered probably about 20 dogs of assorted breeds, but mostly setters & hounds.

I've had a lab/shepherd mix, a Keeshound/shepherd mix and currently have a catahoula leopard dog. All had their strengths... and challenges. Don't think I will ever get another dog (cat person) but if I did it would be based on the dogs special needs rather than breed.

Oh, I just adore Chihuahuas. I have a gorgeous little girl called Amy! She is 6½ years old now. Then we have to equally gorgeous pitbulls, but the Chihuahua rules the roost.

That's a hard one for favorite. I am a fan of most hunting dogs even though I don't hunt. Top would have to be Labs and Great Pyrenees. However, the Blackmouth Cur I have now though, never had one before, is pretty amazing and may jump up on that list: smart, sensitive, graceful, very observant, and fun. I'd have to get around more to know if it is just her or the breed to know for sure.

Fresia,
Curs are amazing. Catahoulas are also a cur and have the same traits. They also have some of the most stunning coloring I have ever seen on dogs. You just, well, have to be ready for them.

I love all dogs and currently don't have any. My profession is dog grooming and it's so neat to see all the different dogs and their personalities. My favorites have to be any hound dog, poodles, scotties and any Mastiff (I am partial to the Cane Corsos though).

I don't currently have dogs (three cats instead) but the best dogs in my life have included a collie (Heidi) several German shepherds (Bonnie, Clyde, and CJ) and a couple of Cairn terriers (Buster and Charity.) Here's to "Lassie," "Rin-Tin-Tin," and "Toto." They are great breeds.

My favourite dog is the Great Pyranneese followed by the Newfoundland dog. I don't currently have any dogs, or pets for that matter - I'm in a no pet building. But I get my doggie fix each week at my harp lesson. My teacher has two absolutely adorable Great Pyranneese and they really like me, so I get lots of licks and tailwagging while I give them both a good scratch.

I have an 18 month old German Shepherd named Sheba. She is beautiful, the best dog I have ever had. Over the years I have had a Golden Retriever, Labrador, English Setter and a Great Dane. None comes close to the loyalty and companionship that Sheba provides me.

My favorite dogs are greyhounds. I had a Siberian Husky (a breed I love also) followed by my first greyhound, Kinshata. Two years later I adopted Magruder. I adopted my third greyhound last week. Her name is Vala and she is straight off the track.

I love Newfies and Pyrs together. They look like a gigantic set of salt and pepper shakers.

I don't have a dog right now although I would love to have one. Money is just too tight.... I love Pitt bulls. They are the most loving, affectionate, loyal and intelligent dogs that I have ever met. I have worked in Animal Care for over 10 years between animal shelters and veterinary offices. I've met a lot of dogs, some in really bad situations, and never once been bitten or shown aggression from a pitty.

I'm not really a "dog person" but like Black Labs.

We had one when I was little, her name was Cindy and she was my dad's hunting dog. He hunted pheasants and she was very good at getting them.

She ended up getting arthritis and epilepsy. When she got to where she couldn't go hunting anymore she would cry and whimper when my dad would leave without her. We had to put her to sleep because she quit eating and kept having seizures. It happened around Christmas time because we were at my Grandparents home when we got the phone call she was very ill and dad had to make the decision. It was the first time I saw my dad cry.
