what is it about females that slip their shoes on and off? It really annoys me. Why do females wear shoes that hardly even stay on the foot in the first place and if its due to the shoes hurting why buy them in the first place?
oh please dont hate me. ![]() I been researching it, and regardless of the reasons way the females do it whether on purpose or not, my opinion is i find shoe dangling and such distracting. sure some find it appealing, just not me. Just trying to be somewhat assertive and express my opinion. Last edited by ariesmars; Oct 18, 2011 at 12:43 AM. |

We are not wearing shoes to protect our feet. We wear shoes that make us look good. Shoemakers , even the best (stuart Weitzman, Nine West, Gucci etc) make them painful. Sometimes in order to llok good we walk a bit in the shoes and when we sit down and think no one will notice, we remove them for a 'breather'.......Come one, at least we look good in those shoes.Just like walking art? (lol)

I LOVE the look of shoes but also if I could go barefoot all the time I would; very much a beach girl. I get tired of wearing them, even the comfortable ones I get tired of wearing them but most of the time they are not comfortable. It is very difficult to find comfortable shoes, whether they look good or not. That is why I will slip the backs of them off when I am sitting sometimes, but never all the way off in public except at the beach; they're annoying.

Yeah, I surely don't wear some of my shoes to protect feet... I mean them gladiators or cute flats... they are not that comfy.
I have sports sandals for travels, but they get uncomfortable too after walking too much. Plus, they are not really pretty. Hard to find sports sandals that look good (and no I ain't wearing no damn sneakers in hot weather). and the hell I will take off my shoes when I need it.

I will never ever take my shoes off in public because I can't handle the thought of being barefoot "out there". But I wear slip on's most of the time and those automatically dangle. Can't help that!

I wear clogs & berkinstocks most of the time, fuzzy lined crocks & after ski snow boots in the winter to keep warm....anything that is comfortable & flat especially after having knee reconstruction, a fractured hip & a fractured back.....don't even look at anything that will make my feet sore & give me anything to cause more discomfort. I do like not having any shoes on in the summer when it's so hot, but I don't to the barefoot thing very well stepping on gravel or things that hurt....sensitive feet. I don't believe in wearing shoes that aren't comfortable. However, many times after tromping around the horses, I take my shoes off when coming into the house so I don't track the gook all over my floors...my dogs to enough of the tracking dirt into the house...don't need me adding to it.

If I could get away with it I'd wear running shoes all fall and winter, and comfortable sandals in the spring / summer.
I do have a nice pair of dress pumps, that I wear for interviews and going out. And some comfortable semi-dressy flat shoes that I can wear with pants at work. At home I'm barefoot as much as possible. I'm all about comfort. splitimage |

even more reasons i havent read about, many make sense too. sorry ladies if i touched a nerve. im sure im not the only male that finds it distracting. Oh and dont worry, im sure there are things that females find distracting about men. Feel free to comment about that if the need arises.

![]() Or maybe we just resent the fact that men invented shoes in the first place! ![]() Really, culture and society require that men and women wear something on their feet in public places. But I've never seen a sign posted that we have to keep our feet in our shoes. It is so much more comfortable to let our toes be free. Most men seem to wear shoes that aren't easily slipped off of their feet. If they did, I bet we'd see men slipping their shoes off as well. I wouldn't be annoyed if they did - I'd be happy for them.

the shoes i wear now are for comfort, for sure not because they are cute or anything else. i need a good support for my feet. the dangle thing, which doesn't apply to me, and swinging the leg back and forth, toe tapping, seeing how fast one can go, maybe they think it is sexy, or just nerves. when someone does all that, or some of it, that is the first thing i see, and it takes effort to focus on the eyes.
